This illustration of 2D from Gorillaz is inspired by The Mountain, the band's latest album. I love how this album draws from Indian culture and beliefs, so I incorporated Indian architecture and celestial imagery to reflect the themes of the music. The style of this piece is based on Jamie Hewlett's official art, keeping 2D's design recognizable while adding my own whimsical twist.
