My original plan for this project was to create a small terrarium, but I ended up downsizing the project to ensure the quality of the final piece

Inspired by the traditional architecture of Japan, I designed, modeled, and textured this hand-painted diorama. My goal was to create a mysterious, magical scene incorporating Japanese architecture and an impressionistic texturing style. I created the moss, ground, and stepping stones in Zbrush after modeling the rest of the asset in Maya. I painted the textures in Substance 3D Painter, then rendered the scene using Marmoset Toolbag.
